दिते: पुत्रा न तां राम जगृहुर्वरुणात्मजाम्।अदितेस्तु सुता वीर जगृहुस्तामनिन्दिताम्।।।।

Transliteration

diteḥ putrā na tāṃ rāma jagṛhur varuṇātmajām |

adites tu sutā vīra jagṛhus tāmaninditām ||

Translation

ಹೇ ರಾಮನೇ! ದಿತಿಯ ಪುತ್ರರು ಆ ವರುಣಾತ್ಮಜೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಹೇ ವೀರನೇ! ಅದಿತಿಯ ಪುತ್ರರು ಆ ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಣಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು.
