उच्यमानोऽपि भरतो मया लक्ष्मण तद्वचः।राज्यमस्मै प्रयच्छेति बाढमित्येव वक्ष्यति।।।।

ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನೇ, ನಾನು ಭರತನಿಗೆ ‘ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೂ, ಭರತನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ‘ಬಾಢಮ್—ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆಗಲಿ’ ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಿಸುವನು.
