ಆ ಶಯನದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮನು ಸೀತೆಯೊಡನೆ ಮಲಗಿದನು. ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆದು, ನಂತರ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ದೂರಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿದು ನಿಂತನು.
