Transliteration

evaṃ vilapatīṃ dṛṣṭvā kausalyāṃ patitāṃ bhuvi | patiṃ cāvekṣya tāḥ sarvā susvaraṃ ruruduḥ striyaḥ ||

Translation

ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿಟ್ಟು ವಿಲಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕೌಸಲ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪತಿ (ರಾಜ)ನ ಆ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡು, ಎಲ್ಲ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರೂ ಒಂದೇಗೂಡಿ ಉಚ್ಚಸ್ವರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ತರು.
