Sumitra’s Consolation to Kausalya

अभिवादयमानं तं दृष्ट्वा ससुहृदं सुतम्।मुदाऽश्रृ मोक्ष्यसे क्षिप्रं मेघलेखेव वार्षिकी।।।।

abhivādayamānaṃ taṃ dṛṣṭvā sa-suhṛdaṃ sutam | mudā ’śru mokṣyase kṣipraṃ meghalekheva vārṣikī ||

ಸುಹೃದರಿಂದ ಆವರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ನಿನಗೆ ವಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ, ನೀನು ಶೀಘ್ರವೇ ಆನಂದಾಶ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುವೆ—ವರ್ಷಾಕಾಲದ ಮೇಘರೇಖೆಯಂತೆ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿಸುವಂತೆ.
