ततः कमलपत्राक्षः श्यामो निरुपमो महान्।उवाच राम स्तं सूतं पितुराख्याहि मामिति।।।।
tataḥ kamalapatrākṣaḥ śyāmo nirupamo mahān | uvāca rāmas taṃ sūtaṃ pitur ākhyāhi mām iti ||
ಆಮೇಲೆ ಕಮಲಪತ್ರನೇತ್ರನಾದ, ಶ್ಯಾಮವರ್ಣನಾದ, ಮಹಾನ್ ನಿರುಪಮನಾದ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನು ಆ ಸೂತನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು: “ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸು—ನಾನು ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು.”
Let my father be informed of my arrival, said the lotus-eyed, dark-complexioned, venerable, peerless Rama to the charioteer.
