Kausalya’s Benedictions and Protective Rites for Rama
समित्कुश पवित्राणि वेद्यश्चायतनानि च।स्थण्डिलानि विचित्राणि शैला वृक्षाः क्षुपा ह्रदाः।।2.25.7।।पतङ्गाः पन्नगास्सिंहास्त्वां रक्षन्तु नरोत्तम।
samit-kuśa-pavitrāṇi vedyāś cāyatanāni ca | sthaṇḍilāni vicitrāṇi śailā vṛkṣāḥ kṣupā hradāḥ || 2.25.7 || pataṅgāḥ pannagāḥ siṃhās tvāṃ rakṣantu narottama |
ಹೇ ನರೋತ್ತಮ, ಸಮಿತ್ತುಗಳು, ಕುಶಪವಿತ್ರಗಳು, ವೇದಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಯಜ್ಞಾಯತನಗಳು; ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ಸ್ಥಂಡಿಲಗಳು, ಪರ್ವತಗಳು, ಮರಗಳು, ಪೊದೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸರೋವರಗಳು; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು, ಸರ್ಪಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಂಹಗಳು—ಇವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ.
O best of men! may sacrificial fuel, kusa grass and sacred rings made of kusha grass, sacrificial altars, temples, various levelled sacrificial grounds, mountains, trees, plants, lakes, birds, serpents and lions protect you!
