Yama symbolizes moral order and the fruits of karma; the verse suggests that alignment with dharma and accountability brings well-being, even in matters connected with death and judgment.
It points to Viṣṇu’s sphere as a state attained through Vaiṣṇava orientation—devotion, surrender, and a life shaped by Viṣṇu-centered dharma.
Happiness is linked to taking shelter in rightful cosmic governance (dharma/karma) and cultivating devotion that aligns one’s life with the divine order.
