Sūta (narrating the Tirtha-mahatmya section; teachings attributed within the Narada Purana tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It functions as a phala-śruti: it links specific Śiva-kṣetra worship to distinct fruits—freedom from senility, enjoyment of comforts, and prosperity—emphasizing faith-filled ritual action within tirtha-dharma.
Bhakti is expressed here as arcana (devotional worship) of named forms of Īśvara; the verse teaches that devoted, proper worship at sacred sites is efficacious and yields tangible results, reinforcing disciplined devotion.
Ritual practice (Kalpa/arcana-vidhi) is implied: proper worship (prārcya) at prescribed shrines, with attention to correct procedure and observance, is presented as the operative means for attaining the stated fruits.
