Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":"bhakti","emotional_journey":"A reassuring invitation to listen culminates in confident promise of purification from sin."}
It establishes śravaṇa (devout listening) to an auspicious purāṇic narrative as a direct means of pāpa-kṣaya (destruction of sins), introducing the Kāmoda-ākhyāna as inherently purifying.
By emphasizing attentive listening to sacred narration, it highlights a core bhakti practice—hearing (śravaṇa) the holy account with faith—which purifies the heart and supports devotional life.
The verse primarily teaches a practical dharmic discipline rather than a specific Vedāṅga: the efficacy of śravaṇa as a purificatory observance (a common purāṇic injunction linked to dharma and vrata contexts).
