Suta (narrating the Tirtha-Mahatmya section; teachings attributed within the Narada Purana tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It identifies the Gaṅgā–Yamunā confluence as a world-renowned sacred site and specifically names it Kā mika Tīrtha, emphasizing that devotion-filled bathing there is spiritually efficacious and fruit-giving.
The verse makes the inner attitude primary: the act (snāna at the tīrtha) becomes transformative when performed bhaktitaḥ—i.e., with reverence and devotion—showing bhakti as the catalyst that sanctifies ritual action.
It highlights ritual practice (kalpa-oriented conduct) in a simple form: tīrtha-snānā as a prescribed religious observance, with the key practical takeaway that intention (bhakti) is integral to the rite’s efficacy.
