Mohinī-upākhyāna
देवार्थमेषा भववर्द्धनार्थँ नृपोपकाराय च संप्रवृत्ता । न स्वार्थकामा लभतेऽवमानं कथं द्विजातोऽपकृतिं क्षमस्व ॥ ४५ ॥
devārthameṣā bhavavarddhanārthaṃ nṛpopakārāya ca saṃpravṛttā | na svārthakāmā labhate'vamānaṃ kathaṃ dvijāto'pakṛtiṃ kṣamasva || 45 ||
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯ ದೇವಹಿತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿವರ್ಧನೆಗಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜೋಪಕಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥಕಾಮವಿಲ್ಲದವನು ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ—ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ದ್ವಿಜನು ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅಪಕಾರವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಸಹಿಸಬಲ್ಲನು?
