The Account of Mohinī

Vasiṣṭha
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"karuna","secondary_rasa":"bhayanaka","emotional_journey":"A turn from delusion to attempted ascent, followed by harsh rebuke and exclusion, producing pity and dread of moral consequence."}
It highlights moral and spiritual eligibility: even after abandoning delusion, one who bears sin is not fit to dwell in the divine realm until purification and dharmic rectification are attained.
By contrasting mere removal of confusion (moha) with true worthiness, it implies that inner transformation and purification—classically achieved through devotion, repentance, and righteous conduct—are necessary, not just a momentary change of mind.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this line; the practical takeaway is dharma-śāstric discernment about adhikāra (fitness) and the karmic consequence of pāpa affecting one’s access to higher realms.
