The Greatness of Kārtika
तिष्ठंतु बहुवित्तानि दानानि वरवर्णिनि । हृदयायासकर्तॄणि दीपदानाद्दिवं व्रजेत् ॥ ३४ ॥
tiṣṭhaṃtu bahuvittāni dānāni varavarṇini | hṛdayāyāsakartṝṇi dīpadānāddivaṃ vrajet || 34 ||
ಓ ವರವರ್ಣಿನಿ! ಬಹುಧನ ಬೇಕಾಗುವ, ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಶ್ರಮ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವ ದಾನಗಳು ಇರಲಿ; ದೀಪದಾನದಿಂದಲೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸ್ವರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸೇರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
