Determination of Tithi for Fasts, Parana, and Pitri Rites

रविचन्द्रार्कजाहं तु तदोपोष्यं परं दिनम् । बह्वा गमविरोधेषु ब्राह्मणेषु विवादिषु ॥ २९ ॥

ravicandrārkajāhaṃ tu tadopoṣyaṃ paraṃ dinam | bahvā gamavirodheṣu brāhmaṇeṣu vivādiṣu || 29 ||

ಆದರೆ (ಉಪವಾಸದಿನ) ಭಾನುವಾರ, ಸೋಮವಾರ ಅಥವಾ ಶನಿವಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಯುಕ್ತವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನ ಉಪವಾಸ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು—ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ಆಗಮ-ವಿರೋಧಗಳಿಂದ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಾದ ಉಂಟಾಗಿರುವಾಗ।
