An unnamed male supplicant within the Adhyaya’s narrative (addressing the Goddess/Earth as Mother)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It teaches śaraṇāgati (surrender): the devotee approaches the Divine Mother with humility (prostration) and self-identifies as servant and child, seeking her grace (prasāda).
The verse models dāsa-bhāva and vātsalya-bhāva together—devotion as service (“I am your dāsa”) and intimate belonging (“I am your son”), expressed through respectful bodily worship (bowing to the earth).
It reflects śikṣā and kalpa in practice: correct devotional posture/gesture (prostration) and the ritualized form of petitioning for grace—though no technical astrology or grammar instruction is explicit in this verse.
