Adhyaya 91 — The Gods’ Hymn to Kātyāyanī and the Goddess’ Prophecy of Future Manifestations
रोगानशेषानपहंसि तुष्टा रुष्टा तु कामान्सकलानभीष्टान् ।
त्वामाश्रितानां न विपन्नराणां त्वामाश्रिता ह्याश्रयतां प्रयान्ति ॥
rogānaśeṣānapahaṃsi tuṣṭā ruṣṭā tu kāmān sakalānabhīṣṭān | tvāmāśritānāṃ na vipannarāṇāṃ tvāmāśritā hyāśrayatāṃ prayānti ||
ನೀನು ಪ್ರಸನ್ನಳಾದಾಗ ಎಲ್ಲ ರೋಗಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿಸುತ್ತೀ; ಕ್ರುದ್ಧಳಾದಾಗ ಎಲ್ಲ ಇಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುತ್ತೀ. ನಿನ್ನ ಶರಣಾಗತರು ನಾಶವಾಗರು; ನಿಜವಾಗಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಶರಣಾಗತರೆ ಇತರರಿಗೆ ಶರಣವಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Devotion is not transactional: the same Devī who grants well-being also disciplines egoic desire. True refuge yields stability, and the devotee’s maturation turns them into support for others.
