मम चासावतीवेष्टा प्राणेभ्योऽपि महामुने ।
सा च मां प्रति दुःशीला ब्रूहि यत्कारणं द्विज ॥
mama cāsāv atīveṣṭā prāṇebhyo 'pi mahāmune / sā ca māṃ prati duḥśīlā brūhi yat-kāraṇaṃ dvija
ಮತ್ತು ಅವಳು ನನಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಿಯಳು—ಓ ಮಹರ್ಷೇ, ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಪ್ರಿಯಳು—ಆದರೂ ಅವಳು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಠೋರವಾಗಿ ವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಓ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣ, ಇದರ ಕಾರಣವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳು.
