मीनमेषौ द्विजश्रेष्ठ ! पादे पूर्वोत्तरे स्थितौ ।
कूर्मे देशास्तथर्क्षाणि देशेष्वेतेषु वै द्विज ॥

ಹೇ ದ್ವಿಜಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ! ಮೀನು ಮತ್ತು ಮೇಷ ಈಶಾನ್ಯ ಪಾದದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿತವಾಗಿವೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ (ವಿಶ್ವ) ಕೂರ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳೂ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳೂ ಸಹ—ಹೇ ದ್ವಿಜ—ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗೊಂಡಿವೆ.
