कस्मान्नानीयते वत्सावुपकाराय मानदः ।
एवमुक्तौ ततस्तेन पित्रा स्नेहवता तु तौ ॥
kasmān nānīyate vatsāv upakārāya mānadaḥ |
evam uktau tatas tena pitrā snehavatā tu tau ||
‘ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಪುತ್ರರೇ, ಅವನ ಉಪಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿದಾನ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ, ಹೇ ಮಾನದಾ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಕರೆತರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಸ्नेಹಮಯ ತಂದೆ ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನು।
