Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
तुष्टाव गीर्भिश्च ततस्तत्र देवीṃ सरस्वतीम् ।
तन्मना नियताहारो भूत्वा त्रिषवणाप्लुतः ॥
tuṣṭāva gīrbhiś ca tatas tatra devīṁ sarasvatīm | tan-manā niyatāhāro bhūtvā triṣavaṇāplutaḥ ||
ನಂತರ ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವಿ ಸರಸ್ವತಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿದನು; ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಅವಳಲ್ಲೇ ಸ್ಥಿರಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ನಿಯಮಿತ ಆಹಾರದಿಂದ ಜೀವಿಸಿ, ತ್ರಿಸಂಧ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು।
