पदे पदे च पादो 'स्य शीर्यते जीर्यते पुनः ।
अहोरात्रेणोद्धरणं पादन्यासं च गच्छति ॥
pade pade ca pādo 'sya śīryate jīryate punaḥ | ahorātreṇoddharaṇaṃ pādanyāsaṃ ca gacchati ||
ಪ್ರತಿ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಅವನ ಪಾದವು ಒಡೆದು, ಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಕ್ಷಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಒಂದು ಪೂರ್ಣ ಹಗಲು-ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಒಂದೇ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಇಡುವಷ್ಟೇ ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲನು.
