भुक्तवत्सु द्विजेन्द्रेष यथावत्‌ सम्प्रदापयेत्‌ । वाचकं भरतश्रेष्ठ भोजयित्वा स्वलंकृतम्‌

Transliteration

bhuktavatsu dvijendreṣu yathāvat sampradāpayet | vācakaṃ bharataśreṣṭha bhojayitvā svalakṛtam, bharatabhūṣaṇa |

Translation

ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರು ಭೋಜನ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಧಿಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಯಥೋಚಿತ ದಾನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ನಂತರ, ಓ ಭರತಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ, ವಸ್ತ್ರಾಭರಣಗಳಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕಥಾವಾಚಕನನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಅನ್ನದಿಂದ ಭೋಜನ ಮಾಡಿಸಬೇಕು; ಅನಂತರ ದಾನ-ಮಾನಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಡಿಸುವುದು ಯುಕ್ತ.
