कामबन्धन-निवृत्ति तथा शान्तिलक्षण-उपदेशः | Release from Desire-Bondage and the Marks of Peace
स्वर्गलोको गृहस्थानां प्रतिष्ठा नियतात्मनाम् । ब्रहद्मणा विहिता योनिरेषा यस्माद् विधीयते । द्वितीयं क्रमश: प्राप्य स्वर्गलोके महीयते
svargaloko gṛhasthānāṃ pratiṣṭhā niyatātmanām | brahmaṇā vihitā yonir eṣā yasmād vidhīyate | dvitīyaṃ kramaśaḥ prāpya svargaloke mahīyate ||
ವ್ಯಾಸನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸಿ ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಯಮದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಗೃಹಸ್ಥರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವರ್ಗಲೋಕವೇ ದೃಢವಾದ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆಯೂ ಆಶ್ರಯವೂ ಆಗಿ ನಿಯೋಜಿತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಬ್ರಹ್ಮನು ಗೃಹಸ್ಥಾಶ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸ್ವರ್ಗಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುವ ಜನಕಾಧಾರವಾಗಿ ವಿಧಿಸಿದನು; ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅದರ ಆಚರಣೆ ವಿಧೇಯ. ಹೀಗೆ ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಆಶ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಯಥಾವಿಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಪಡೆದವನು ಸ್ವರ್ಗಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಸ್ಥಿರನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
