Duryodhana-vadha-pratikriyā: Harṣa, Nindā, and Kṛṣṇa’s Nīti-vyākhyā (Śalya-parva 60)
तस्योर्ध्वबाहो: सदृशं रूपमासीन्महात्मन: । बहुधातुविचित्रस्य श्वेतस्येव महागिरे:
tasyordhvabāhoḥ sadṛśaṃ rūpam āsīn mahātmanaḥ | bahudhātuvicitrasyā śvetasyeva mahāgireḥ ||
ಭುಜಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ಆ ಮಹಾತ್ಮನ ರೂಪವು ಅನೇಕ ಧಾತುಗಳ ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ಕాంతಿಯಿಂದ ಶೋಭಿಸುವ ಮಹಾ ಶ್ವೇತಗಿರಿಯಂತೆ ಇತ್ತು. ಹಿಂಸೆ ಉಕ್ಕಿಬರಲಿರುವ ಆ ತೀವ್ರ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ಈ ದೃಶ್ಯ ಬಲರಾಮನ ಅಪಾರ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಅದರಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ವಿಸ್ಮಯವನ್ನೂ ಸೂಚಿಸಿತು—ಸಂಯಮದ ಮಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಮುರಿಯುವಂತೆ.
