एतच्च सर्ववीराणां काड्क्षितं भरतर्षभ | संग्रामेडभिमुखो मृत्यु प्राप्तुयादिति मानद,“दूसरोंको मान देनेवाले भरतश्रेष्ठ! संग्राममें सम्मुख युद्ध करते हुए वीरको मृत्युकी प्राप्ति हो, यही सम्पूर्ण शूरवीरोंका अभीष्ट मनोरथ हुआ करता है

Transliteration

etac ca sarvavīrāṇāṁ kāṅkṣitaṁ bharatarṣabha | saṅgrāme 'bhimukho mṛtyuṁ prāpnuyād iti mānada ||

Translation

ಮಾನದಾತನೇ, ಭರತಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನೇ! ಸಮರದಲ್ಲಿ ಶತ್ರುವಿನ ಎದುರು ನಿಂತೇ ಮರಣವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವುದು—ಇದೇ ಎಲ್ಲ ವೀರರ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆ.
