Chapter 148: Karṇa’s Pressure, Dhṛṣṭadyumna Unhorsed, and the Summoning of Ghaṭotkaca

Kṛṣṇa’s prompt underscores that in dharmic struggle, awareness of time, motive, and the opponent’s dependencies matters; clinging to external guarantees (like timing tied to the sun) can expose one’s ethical and strategic weakness, while right counsel helps align action with dharma.
During the Drona Parva battle sequence centered on Jayadratha, Kṛṣṇa points Arjuna toward Jayadratha, who is watching the sun—suggesting he is calculating the day’s progress and relying on it for safety—setting up Kṛṣṇa’s tactical guidance for Arjuna’s next move.
