द्योतयन्ती दिशो राजन् महोल्केव नभश्च्युता । राजन! सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंको प्रकाशित करती हुई वह सुवर्णभूषित शक्ति कटकर आकाशशसे गिरी हुई बड़ी भारी उल्काके समान पृथ्वीपर गिर पड़ी

ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ರಾಜನೇ! ಎಲ್ಲ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಾಶಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಸ್ವರ್ಣಾಭರಣಗಳಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕೃತವಾದ ಆ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಬಿದ್ದ ಮಹಾ ಉಲ್ಕೆಯಂತೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿತು।
