महातपा घोरतपा अदीनो दीनसाधक: । संवत्सरकरो मन्त्र: प्रमाणं परमं तप:
mahātapā ghoratapā adīno dīnasādhakaḥ | saṃvatsarakaro mantraḥ pramāṇaṃ paramaṃ tapaḥ ||
ವಾಯುದೇವನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಅವನು ಮಹಾತಪಸ್ವಿ, ಘೋರ ತಪಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ದೀಪ್ತ; ಉದಾರನು, ಶರಣಾಗತ ದೀನದುಃಖಿಗಳ ಆಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವವನು. ಅವನು ಸಂವತ್ಸರವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವವನು; ಅವನು ಪ್ರಣವ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಮಂತ್ರಸ್ವರೂಪ; ಅವನು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ—ಸತ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರ—ಮತ್ತು ತಪಸ್ಸಿನ ಪರಮ ಸ್ವರೂಪ.
