प्रदाता सर्वलोकानां विश्व चाप्युच्यते महत् । ज्येष्ठभूतं वदन्त्येनं ब्राह्यणा ऋषयो5परे
pradātā sarvalokānāṁ viśva cāpy ucyate mahat | jyeṣṭhabhūtaṁ vadanty enaṁ brāhmaṇā ṛṣayo 'pare ||
ಅವನು ಸಕಲ ಲೋಕಗಳ ದಾತ—ಜೀವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಬಯಸಿದುದನ್ನು ನೀಡುವವನು. ಈ ಮಹಾವಿಶ್ವವೂ ಅವನದೇ ಸ್ವರೂಪವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರೂ ಇತರ ಋಷಿಗಳೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಜ್ಯೇಷ್ಠ—ಆದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಗ್ರ—ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
