पराक्रमैस्तेडपि तदा व्यघ्नन्नत्रिसुरक्षिता: । उद्धासितश्न सविता देवास्त्राता हतासुरा:
parākramais te ’pi tadā vyaghnaṁn atrisurakṣitāḥ | uddhāsitaś ca savitā devās trātā hatāsurāḥ ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು— ಆಗ ಅತ್ರಿಯ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತರಾದ ದೇವತೆಗಳು ಕೂಡ ತಮ್ಮ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದುರುಳಿಸಿದರು. ಸವಿತೃ (ಸೂರ್ಯ) ಪುನಃ ದೀಪ್ತಿಮಂತನಾದನು; ದೇವತೆಗಳು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು; ಅಸುರರು ನಾಶರಾದರು. ಅತ್ರಿಯ ತಪೋತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಆ ಮಹಾಸುರರು ದಹನಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, ನಿರ್ಭಯರಾದ ದೇವತೆಗಳು ಎದ್ದು ದೈತ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದರು; ಹೀಗೆ ಧರ್ಮಯುಕ್ತ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತರಂಗ ತಪಸ್ಸು ಧೈರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬದಲಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ—ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಜಯಸಿದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ।
