अमृतांशूद्धवो भानु: शशबिन्दु: सुरेश्वर: । औषध॑ जगत: सेतु: सत्यधर्मपराक्रम:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | amṛtāṃśūdbhavo bhānuḥ śaśabinduḥ sureśvaraḥ | auṣadhaṃ jagataḥ setuḥ satyadharmaparākramaḥ ||

Translation

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಅವನೇ ಅಮೃತಾಂಶುವಾದ ಚಂದ್ರನನ್ನು ಉದ್ಭವಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಸ್ವರೂಪಿ; ಅವನೇ ದೀಪ್ತಿಮಾನ ಸೂರ್ಯ; ಮೊಲದ ಗುರುತುಳ್ಳ ಚಂದ್ರ; ದೇವತೆಗಳ ಅಧಿಪತಿ. ಅವನೇ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ರೋಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಔಷಧಿ, ಸಂಸಾರಸಾಗರ ದಾಟಿಸುವ ಸೇತು, ಸತ್ಯಧರ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲಸಿದ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿ.
