Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
पशुपतिवचनाद् भवामि सद्य: कृमिरथवा तरुरप्यनेकशाख: । अपशुपतिवरप्रसादजा मे त्रिभुवनराज्यविभूतिरप्यनिष्टा
paśupativacanād bhavāmi sadyaḥ kṛmir athavā tarur apy anekaśākhaḥ | apaśupativarprasādajā me tribhuvanarājyavibhūtir apy aniṣṭā ||
ವಾಸುದೇವನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಭಗವಾನ್ ಪಶುಪತಿಯ ವಚನದಿಂದ ನಾನು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಹುಳುವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅನೇಕ ಶಾಖೆಗಳಿರುವ ಮರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಆಗಬಲ್ಲೆ. ಆದರೆ ಪಶುಪತಿ (ಶಿವ) ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರ ವರ-ಪ್ರಸಾದದಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ತ್ರಿಭುವನದ ರಾಜ್ಯವೈಭವ ದೊರಕಿದರೂ, ಅದೂ ನನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಲ್ಲ.
