Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

dharmarāje hṛtiprītyā pūrṇacandra ivāmale |

prājānāṃ remire tulyaṃ netrāṇi hṛdayāni ca ||

Translation

ಧರ್ಮರಾಜ ಯುಧಿಷ್ಠಿರನ ಮೇಲಿನ ಹೃದಯಪೂರ್ವಕ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ—ಕಳಂಕವಿಲ್ಲದ ಪೂರ್ಣಚಂದ್ರನಂತೆ ನಿರ್ಮಲವಾಗಿ—ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲ ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳೂ ಹೃದಯಗಳೂ ಒಂದೇ ವೇಳೆ ಹರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಉಲ್ಲಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು. ಅವನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯೇ ಎಲ್ಲರಲ್ಲೂ ಸಹಜವಾದ ಸಮಾನ ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
