The Birth of Kṛpa and Kṛpī; Kṛpa’s Attainment of Astras
मृगाभिशापान्नष्टं मे जननं हाकृतात्मन: । नृशंसकारिणो भीरु यथैवोपहतं पुरा
mṛgābhiśāpān naṣṭaṃ me jananaṃ hākṛtātmanaḥ | nṛśaṃsakāriṇo bhīru yathaivopahataṃ purā ||
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಜಿಂಕೆಯ ಶಾಪದಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನೋತ್ಪತ್ತಿ ಶಕ್ತಿ ನಾಶವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಿಡಿತವಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಕ್ರೂರಕರ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಓ ಭೀರು! ಆದಕಾರಣ, ಹಿಂದೆ ನಾನು ಆ ಜಿಂಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಅದರ ಸಂಭೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಪಡಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ನನ್ನ ಜನನಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆಘಾತಗೊಂಡಿದೆ।
