अविद्या-पञ्चक, नवसर्ग-क्रमः, प्रजापति-प्रसवः

तमो मोहो महामोहस् तामिस्रश्चान्धसंज्ञितः अविद्या पञ्चधा ह्येषा प्रादुर्भूता स्वयम्भुवः

Transliteration

tamo moho mahāmohas tāmisraścāndhasaṃjñitaḥ avidyā pañcadhā hyeṣā prādurbhūtā svayambhuvaḥ

Translation

ತಮಸ್, ಮೋಹ, ಮಹಾಮೋಹ, ತಾಮಿಸ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ‘ಅಂಧ’ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವುದು—ಇವು ಅವಿದ್ಯೆಯ ಐದು ರೂಪಗಳು, ಸ್ವಯಂಭುವಿನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾದುರ್ಭವಿಸಿದವು. ಇವುಗಳಿಂದ ಪಶುಜೀವ ಪಾಶಬಂಧನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಚ್ಚಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ವಿಮೋಚನೆಗಾಗಿ ಪತಿ ಶಿವನ ಶರಣಾಗುವವರೆಗೆ.
