Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It frames compassion and rightful offerings to living beings (bhūtas) as a yajña aligned with Shiva-dharma, supporting purity and auspiciousness for Linga-pūjā.
By emphasizing welfare to all embodied beings, it reflects Shiva as Pati—the gracious Lord whose dharma uplifts paśus (souls) bound by pasha (bondage) through regulated, sattvic conduct.
Bhūta-yajña: offering bali according to prescribed vidhi—an ethical-ritual discipline that supports inner purification and steadiness beneficial for Pashupata-oriented sadhana.
