Sukta 2
याव॑ती॒र्दिशः॑ प्र॒दिशो॒ विषू॑ची॒र्याव॑ती॒राशा॑ अभि॒चक्ष॑णा दि॒वः । तत॒स्त्वम॑सि॒ ज्याया॑न् वि॒श्वहा॑ म॒हांस्तस्मै॑ ते काम॒ नम॒ इत् कृ॑णोमि
yā́vatīr díśaḥ pradíśo víṣūcīr yā́vatīr ā́śā abhícakṣaṇā diváḥ | tatás tvám asi jyā́yān viśváhā mahā́ṁs tásmai te kā́ma náma ít kṛṇomi
As many as are the quarters, the fore-quarters, spreading apart; as many as are the hopes that look abroad from heaven—therefrom art thou the greater, evermore the mighty: to thee, O Kāma, to that one, I do indeed make reverent homage.
ಎಷ್ಟು ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಿವೆಯೋ, ಉಪದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಿವೆಯೋ, ವಿಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿ ಹರಡಿರುವವು; ಎಷ್ಟು ಆಶೆಗಳಿವೆಯೋ, ಅವು ಸ್ವರ್ಗದಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ನೋಡುವವು—ಅವುಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ನೀನು ಮಹತ್ತರ, ಸದಾ ಇನ್ನೂ ಮಹತ್ತರ, ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿ. ಓ ಕಾಮ, ನಿನಗೆ—ಆತನಿಗೆ—ನಾನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಭಕ್ತಿನಮಸ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
