धातः श्रेष्ठेन रूपेणास्या नार्या गवीन्योः । पुमांसं पुत्रमा धेहि दशमे मासि सूतवे

IAST Transliteration

dhātáḥ śréṣṭhena rūpéṇāsyā́ nā́ryā gavīnyóḥ | púmāṃsaṃ putrám ā́ dhehi daśamé mā́si sūtáve ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

O Dhātṛ, with thy most excellent form, within this woman—these cow-like sources of increase—implant a manly son, that in the tenth month she may bring him forth.

Translation

ಹೇ ಧಾತೃ! ನಿನ್ನ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ರೂಪದಿಂದ, ಈ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯೊಳಗೆ—ಈ ಗೋವಿನ್ಯಃ (ಗೋವಿನಂತ ವೃದ್ಧಿ-ಮೂಲಗಳು)ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ—ಪುರುಷಸ್ವರೂಪ ಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸು; ಹತ್ತನೇ ಮಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸವಿಸಲಿ.
