यज्ञपदीराक्षीरा स्वधाप्राणा महीलुका । वशा पर्जन्यपत्नी देवाँ अप्येति ब्रह्मणा

IAST Transliteration

yajñapadī́r ákṣīrāḥ svadhā́prāṇā mahī́lukā | vaśā́ párjanyapatnī́ devā́n ápyéti bráhmaṇā ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

With sacrifice for her footing, unmilkless, with svadhā for breath, of mighty fostering—Vaśā, the spouse of Parjanya, by brahman goes unto the gods.

Translation

ಯಜ್ಞವೇ ಅವಳ ಪಾದಪೀಠ; ಅಕ್ಷೀರಾ (ಹಾಲಿಲ್ಲದವಳಲ್ಲ), ಸ್ವಧಾ-ಪ್ರಾಣವತಿ, ಮಹಾ ಪೋಷಕಶಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವಳು—ವಶಾ (Vaśā), ಪರ್ಜನ್ಯನ ಪತ್ನಿ, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ (ಮಂತ್ರಬಲ)ದಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
