Related Themes: Agni Purana 379 (Advaita-brahma-vijñāna conclusion); Agni Purana 380 (Gītā-sāra section)
It introduces the Gītāsāra as a distilled doctrinal teaching intended for practical aims—bhukti (rightful worldly welfare) and mukti (liberation)—framing it as a Vedāntic knowledge-section rather than a ritual manual.
By embedding a concise Bhagavad Gītā synopsis inside the Purāṇa, it shows the Agni Purana’s compendious method: it gathers diverse disciplines (here, Advaita-oriented mokṣa-jñāna and Gītā doctrine) into a single reference text.
The verse presents the Gītā’s essence as a dual-benefit path—supporting righteous life in the world (bhukti) while directing the practitioner toward liberation (mukti), implying merit through right understanding and alignment with dharma.
