वास्तोष्पतेन मन्त्रेण यजेत गृहदेवताः जपस्यैष विधिः प्रोक्तो हुते ज्ञेयो विशेषतः

vāstoṣpatena mantreṇa yajeta gṛhadevatāḥ japasyaiṣa vidhiḥ prokto hute jñeyo viśeṣataḥ

ವಾಸ್ತೋಷ್ಪತಿ ಮಂತ್ರದಿಂದ ಗೃಹದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಯಜಿಸಬೇಕು (ಪೂಜಿಸಿ ಆಹುತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು). ಈ ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ಜಪಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ; ಹೋಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಹುತಿ ನೀಡಿದಾಗ ಇದು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಅನ್ವಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕು.
