FAQs

It teaches a Dhanurvedic war-rite: when deploying/bringing forth a battle-chariot, one should utter the formula “ā kṛṣṇa,” treated as a vyāhṛti-like ritual utterance that empowers the action toward victory.

Alongside theology, the Agni Purāṇa preserves practical military instructions—linking battlefield technology (the ratha) with mantra-usage and ritual theory (vyāhṛti), showing how applied sciences and sacral speech coexist in its knowledge-system.

By making the battle action a mantra-accompanied karman, the verse frames warfare as a ritually ordered act, seeking auspicious efficacy (siddhi) and victory through sanctioned sacred utterance rather than mere force.
