It gives a lakṣaṇa (observable indicator): spontaneous childlike affection (embrace and kiss) and truthful speech when addressed are presented as auspicious behavioral signs.
Beyond theology, the Agni Purana catalogs practical, everyday diagnostic markers—omens and human behavioral indications—alongside ritual and dharma topics, functioning like a compendium of applied cultural knowledge.
Such signs are treated as indicators of sattvic disposition (purity and sincerity), implying harmony, trustworthiness, and auspicious relational karma in household and social life.
