Related Themes: Agni Purana 324 (Dhanurveda/Rājadharma typologies)
It gives a Dhanurvedic/rajanitic typology: identifying martial or artistic aptitude by ‘aṁśa’ (dominant temperament)—music (Gandharva), ferocity (Rākṣasa/Bhīma), battlefield fitness through fortitude (dairya), and proud, power-associated disposition (Vidyādhara).
Beyond ritual and mythology, it catalogs applied knowledge for governance and war—how to recognize human dispositions useful for assigning roles (artists, fighters, fierce shock-troops, elite specialists), reflecting the Purana’s multi-disciplinary scope.
It implies svabhāva (natural disposition) should guide one’s duty: aligning work—especially warfare—with inherent qualities reduces adharma born from misassignment and supports righteous conduct within one’s ordained role.
