Related Themes: Agni Purana 320 (Grahopaāsanā, Utpāta-śānti, Astra-śānti context)
It introduces graha-pūjā as a means to secure favorable planetary placements and announces the procedure of astra-śānti—a specialized śānti rite intended to neutralize weapon-related dangers and inauspicious influences.
It links Jyotiṣa (planetary configuration and remedial worship) with śānti-kalpa (ritual pacifications), showing how the text integrates astrology, omenology (utpāta), and applied ritual technology for protection and risk-management.
Performing graha-pūjā and śānti rites is presented as a purificatory and protective act that mitigates adverse karmic manifestations expressed as portents and misfortune, restoring auspiciousness and safety.
