FAQs

It provides the technical ritual nomenclature for the consecrated attendant (vaṭuka), listing four recognized designations used within mantra–tantra contexts: Samaya-putra, Yoginī-putraka, Siddha-putra, and Kula-putra.

By cataloging specialized tantric vocabulary and classifications, it shows the Agni Purana functioning as a ritual reference—preserving precise terms tied to initiation (samaya), lineage (kula), and yoginī/siddha-related traditions.

Correct identification and usage of sanctioned names in esoteric rites is treated as safeguarding ritual purity and efficacy; it aligns the practitioner with the proper samaya (observance) and kula (lineage), reducing ritual error (doṣa) and supporting intended siddhi-oriented outcomes.
