FAQs

It prescribes the completion-sequence of a homa: filling 108 ritual pots, performing the pūrṇāhuti, completing the vasordhārā (continuous ghee-stream offering), and then giving dakṣiṇā to the officiants.

It records precise procedural details of yajña-practice—numbers (108), specific rite-names (pūrṇāhuti, vasordhārā), and the obligatory social-ritual closure (dakṣiṇā)—showing the text’s coverage of practical liturgy alongside broader theology.

It frames the rite as properly ‘sealed’ only when the final oblations are completed and dakṣiṇā is given—linking ritual completeness, right order, and generosity to the accrual of merit and purification.
