वृत्तः स्वभावतः प्रोक्तो वर्णतः परिमाणतः । नीलश्च वैडूर्यमयः श्वेतशुक्लो हिरण्मयः । मयूरबर्हिवर्णस्तु शातकुम्भश्च श्रृङ्गवान् ॥ ७५.१८ ॥
vṛttaḥ svabhāvataḥ prokto varṇataḥ parimāṇataḥ | nīlaś ca vaidūryamayaḥ śvetaśuklo hiraṇmayaḥ | mayūrabarhivarṇas tu śātakaumbhaś ca śṛṅgavān || 75.18 ||
គាត់ត្រូវបានពិពណ៌នាថា មានរាងមូលតាមធម្មជាតិ មានលក្ខណៈដោយពណ៌ និងដោយមាត្រា៖ ពណ៌ខៀវ និងធ្វើពី «វៃឌូរយ» (កែវដូចឡាពីស), ពណ៌ស—សសុទ្ធ—មាស; ហើយមានពណ៌ដូចរោមកន្ទុយមយូរ ក៏ជាមាសល្អ «សាតកុម្ភ» និងមានស្នែង។
