एवं ज्ञात्वा भवान् पुत्र व्रतमेतत् समाचर । न भक्षयामि सकटं न वदाम्यनृतं क्वचित् ॥ ३७.४२ ॥

evaṁ jñātvā bhavān putra vratam etat samācara | na bhakṣayāmi sakaṭaṁ na vadāmy anṛtaṁ kvacit || 37.42 ||

«ដូច្នេះបានដឹងហើយ កូនអើយ អ្នកគួរធ្វើវ្រតនេះ។ ខ្ញុំមិនបរិភោគ ‘សកដ’ (អាហារហាម) ទេ ហើយខ្ញុំមិននិយាយពាក្យមិនពិតនៅពេលណាមួយឡើយ»។
